Welcome to Thistlebrook, home to me, gardening columnist Justin Russell, my wife Kylie, and our three children.

Our two acre property in the high country at Hampton, north of Toowoomba, is home to a rambling garden and a small nursery specialising in heritage fruit trees and other edible plants ideal for home growers.

Thistlebrook is also the location for a range of practical gardening courses on topics like growing your own food, garden design and plant propagation.
