It’s on again. Gardenfest, the premier gardening event on the Darling Downs, is set to be better than ever this year with a record number of exhibitors and a top lineup of speakers including greenthumbed legends Annette Macfarlane and Colin Campbell. While I hardly qualify as a legend, I’ll be speaking on each day of the event and will help out with the Plant Clinic at various times over the weekend.
I’d love to meet as many loyal readers of my writing as possible, so why not drop by the plant clinic or sit in for one of my talks. Here’s my schedule for the weekend:
Saturday 01/05
2-3pm, Speaking on “How to Start a Patch from Scratch”
3-4pm, Plant Clinic
Sunday 02/05
1-2pm, Speaking on “The Case for Organics: What on Earth is the Muck and Magic Brigade and Why You Should Join It”
2-3pm, Plant Clinic
Monday 03/05
10-11am, Plant Clinic
11am-12pm, Speaking on “The Art of Backyard Fruit Growing: Old Fashioned Techniques for Small Scale Production”
12pm-1pm, Plant Clinic
Gardenfest is held in beautiful surrounds at Toowoomba’s Southern Queensland Institute of TAFE, off Campbell Street. Entry is $6, under 12′s are free. Look forward to seeing you there!
Happy gardening,
Justin
