Gallipoli Rosemary tends to come and go throughout the year, but I have seen it available at my local Plants Plus garden centre (Highfields), as well as Bunnings. Yarralumla Nursery in Canberra is producing it, so if your local nursery doesn’t have it in stock, ask if they can get some in for you.

How to grow: the key requirement is well drained soil, ideally slightly alkaline. Rosemary is very tolerant to drought and frost. Clip regularly to keep the plant bushy.

Mick, you should be able to pick up Gallipoli Rosemary fairly easily, depending on where you’re located. I’ve seen it at our local Plants Plus outlet and a couple of other nurseries nearby. If no-one is stocking it, ask if it can be ordered in. Yarralumla Nursery in Canberra is producing it, as far as I know.

Hello Elizabeth,
I just found this site and your posting.
Tonight I bought a Gallipoli Rosemary plant from Bunnings.
I have always found rosemary to be incredibly easy to strike, so I plan to take cuttings from my bought bush, strike them and give them to friends and family.

Thanks for your comment Kylie. You’d be unlikely to find them in a public park as they would be quickly cleaned up after falling, so your best bet might be to try and find someone with some mature radiata pines in their garden. Otherwise you’ll find pine cones galore in the State Forests adjoining the New England Highway near Hampton. I’m guessing they’re for Christmas, so good luck!

Where can I obtain GALLIPOLI ROSEMARY as described on your web site? I live in Victoria and am hoping for a local place of purchase,but would be pleased to have any help possible. I would like to give it to our grandfather who is 97, and so hope for something more established than a single cutting.
