Workshops

Gardening workshops and other special events are on hold until further notice. If you’re interested in attending a workshop, let us know by getting in contact.

Are you a beginning gardener in search of inspiration? An experienced plant lover looking to take you garden to the next level? Perhaps you’re keen to grow some fruit and vegies, but aren’t sure where to start.

Thistlebrook Garden School might be just what you’re looking for.

We offer a range of half and full day workshops here in our Hampton garden, covering topics like GIY (Grow It Yourself), organics, garden design, and waterwise gardening. Our aim is to help you improve your knowledge, skills and confidence. Workshops are designed to be practical and lots of fun. We include plenty of demonstrations and when it’s appropriate, you’ll even get the opportunity to get your hands dirty and  gain some hands-on experience.

As well as being informative, though, our gardening courses are also a great chance to breathe some country air and experience a refreshing change of scenery. Food is a key part of all our courses, and you’ll have the opportunity to enjoy some delicious fare made with ingredients either picked straight from the garden or grown by local producers. Why not bring a friend or two and enjoy a relaxing day out.

We look forward to meeting you at Thistlebrook.

Hi Judy,

Unfortunately the workshops are on hold for the foreseeable future because of a general lack of interest. We may resurrect them at some stage, perhaps later in the year and subject to strong demand. Will note your interest.

Cheers,

Justin

I was hoping to the do the ‘bug’ workshop which was scheduled for July. Sorry for not registering my interest earlier. If anything changes please let me know.

Would love to come to some/all courses with a friend. We both live in the area.

Would love to know more about courses and anything happening in future. Are the courses open to teens? We home-school and this would be ideal.

Hi Donna,

At this point in time, we’ve decided to put the workshop concept on ice. This is mostly due to a lack of interest, so if we get enough people wanting to attend, we may look at resurrecting the idea at some stage in the future. For now though, it’s just not a viable option unfortunately. I’ll note your interest and be in touch if we decide to get something up and running.

Cheers,

Justin
